The JMGs will use 3 of the beds at the CCGA for their grow lab. The following site provides more information about CCGA and their mission.

Also, be sure to check out the April 2009 blog entry. The Tilling Tigers of '08-'09 helped spread soil and mulch in the newly developed gardens.
Transplanting from the JMG Gardens at the Former ACW Campus to our Grow Lab in the CCGA Gardens
Thank you, Laura Rector, for an awesome photo journal of our hard work today!
A favorite bed of the Tilling Tigers was the strawberry patch. These plants are definitely moving with us!
(The weeds certainly have invaded since the Tilling Tigers last tended these gardens during the Spring of 2009.)
Shamra, Mak, and Phoebe dig in to get to the root of the plant.
Amidst the weeds lay the mosaic stones. Good hunting Keishai, Shamra, and Chloe!
Chloe displays her strength in loading the mosaic stepping stones.
The Echinacea (cone flower) will stay for now. We'll harvest the seeds for later planting.
Kassady finds a butterfly larva on an echinacea flower.
Now that's what I call a rhizome!
Digging and dividing irises proves to be fun, but rigorous work.
Caitlin is determined to get the whole rhizome and nothing but the rhizome.
A cool down with Sonic drinks hits the spot before transplanting in the CCGA beds. Samantha is refreshed and ready to start planting!
We're unloading and ready to transplant.
The strawberry plants find their new home.
Many hands make light work.
Hopefully the rosemary pictured here along with the lavender, fennel, chocolate mint, lemon balm, and garlic chive will survive the move.
After a long day of digging and transplanting, we take the time to enjoy the beauty of the other beds at the CCGA gardens
