In their desire to help those affected by Hurricane Ike, the Tilling Tigers of A. C. Williams Elementary created a plant chair filled with lovely flowering and vining plants to be raffled. All proceeds from this raffle were donated to the American Red Cross. Tickets sold for $2 each. The group worked hard to sell 114 tickets raising $228!

The drawing was held on Thursday, October 9, at the Tilling Tiger meeting after school. Congratulations to Mr. Huey, who won the chair!

Plans are to make another growing plant project (either another plant chair or a fairy garden) to be raffled at the annual A. C. Williams Art Show in March 2009. All proceeds from this raffle will be donated to the Art Program at ACW.
