Open/Closed syllables |
Currently we are studying "Open and Closed syllables" in class. An Open syllable has a word divided with a vowel left hanging in a syllable ex. fa-tal the a in fa will be long a. A closed syllable is a vowel with a consonant letter on each side. The vowel will be short ex.tal is a closed syllable. |
