Welcome to Commerce Elementary School.

I am honored to serve as the Counselor for CES for 13 years. Prior to becoming a counselor, I have taught PK through 3rd grade. My degrees are from East Texas State University, University of South Carolina and Texas A&M-Commerce. My husband is the Director of Applied Leadership at Texas A&M-Commerce and our daughter is a Teaching Assistant working on her PhD in English at
TAMU-C.
 
As the counselor I have the opportunity to lead developmental guidance classes for all children. Our focus is the five areas of Character Counts: Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthness, Fairness and Caring. I am also avaliable to work with children and families on personal concerns including social, family, emotional, academic or substance abuse issues.
